WITH THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF LEE DOUD, WHEAT RIDGE WOULD BECOME A CITY KNOWN FOR IT'S FORWARD THINKING AND EXCELLENT COMMUNITY PLANNING.

Mr. Doud understood that a community is more than just a gathering of homes, so his first main contribution to elevating the neighborhood was donating the land to create Paramount Park.

Continuing to develop the fledgeling community, Mr. Doud once again partnered with Copeland Designs to craft the Paramount Lanes and Super Market. With a medical center and a bowling alley below the grocery store, residents of Paramount Heights had many of their needs within walking distance of their homes.

Mr. Doud also held prominent positions to sculpt this progress, including Vice-Chairman of the Red Cross, President of the Kiwanis Club,  and eventually as Co-Chairman of Wheat Ridge. Under his stewardship, Jefferson County developed it's first recreational facility.
